Support the Centre for Scottish Studies
With your donations the Centre aims to:
1. Encourage the inclusion of Scottish themes or subject matter in existing academic courses and promote the creation of new courses.
2. Sponsor public talks, conferences and other events that merge scholarly and public
interests, including the annual St. Andrews
and Caledonian lectures held every November.
3. Work closely with individuals and groups
in the community to build a network of
support for Scottish studies.

Our Fundraising Goals
The Centre hopes to establish a permanent endowment of $5,000,000, the income from which would be used to support the ongoing activities of the Centre, including our lecture series, support for visiting scholars, post-doctoral research, support for the field school, our archival and oral history projects and to continue the community outreach and engagement activities of the Centre. Building an endowment would allow the Centre to hire a permanent professor in Scottish Studies, run regular community programs and provide scholarships to students doing Scottish studies.
All gifts receive a tax receipt. Financial support for the Centre's activities has come from Simon Fraser University, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the St. Andrews and Caledonian Society as well as numerous individual donors. We thank all our generous supporters.
